Mine would be the Browning Buckmark Hunter.
I do agree that I was very fond of my Walther P-22, it really is a fun shooter- no doubt at all, but the Browning edges it out for me. My buddy has the Ruger, but mine works flawlessly while he fusses with his. |

What's your favorite .22 pistol
My current favorite is the Ruger SR22 pistol with threaded barrel. I've owned the Walter p22 beretta NEOS and the Ruger 22/45 LITE.
The SR22 is super accurate way easy to clean and just a pleasure to shoot. Also has a safety/decocker which makes the manual of arms more like my HD guns which is a big plus for me. Last edited by Coach Z; August 25, 2013 at 03:50 PM. Reason: spelling |

Ruger MK series. Not the prettiest pistols in the world but they sure can shoot.

While my High Standard HD Military has great sentamental value, and is quite accurate, It does get a little finicky. My Taurus PT 22 is a lot of fun, and similar enough in operation to my LCP to afford some reasonable practice with a very small pistol with a long, and somewhat stiff DAO trigger. I also have a Walther P22 that has been reliable, with the right ammo, and accurate enough to be fun. It gets a lot of range time, or at least did before ammogedon! But the top of the heap, due to it's combination of complete reliability, excellent accuracy, and exceptionally good "feel" has to be my Browning Buckmark Camper.

Tie between Ruger SR22 w/ threaded barrel and Colt/Walther/God only knows 1911 Rail Gun.

I have several .22s that I really enjoy. Nothing beats a nice plinker for outstanding fun. My favorite is tough to narrow down to one, but if I had to pick, it would be the Daewoo DP52. This all steel, Walther PP clone is a marvel of perfect machining. It eats any ammo and hits what it points at. Best of all... it looks great. Hard to find but well worth the hunt.

M&P 22 is my favorite. Much better built than the P22's I've tried.
My buddy has a Ruger SR22 as well that's really nice and both of our guns have been 100% thus far - which is highly unusual for 22lr guns. I went with the M&P to match my M&P 9 Pro. I would like it if the M&P 22 didn't have the thumb safety, but I understand why it's there.

I shot a high-standard a couple of times as a kid... this is the gun that made me realize that the quality of the hardware really does make a difference.
I always loved shooting my uncles Ruger single-six. What a great gun that was. A Ruger Mark II is the classic pistol I remember shooting the best. I was more accurate with the Mark II than the single six, but the SA revolver was more fun... |
