Erma La22 help needed.

Has anyone here successfully fixed the jamming problem with a Erma La22 luger?

Try a dozen kinds of ammo all on the hot side. Start with CCI Mini Mags, if you can find any.

My problem isn’t so much cycling the action as it is feeding a round into the chamber. I end up with the round getting stuck on the area above the chamber. I don’t put any more than 8 rounds in the magazine and sometimes it will go through all 8 rounds with no problem and other times I will have 4 jams in a row.

The last problem sounds like a magazine problem.

I would start by gently adjusting the feed lips with needle-nose pliers. .22LR feed lips often spread apart over time, causing cartridges to leave the magazine at an excessively nose-up angle and jam. Make small and incremental adjustments; overdoing it may make things worse.

Disclaimer: I have no personal experience with the Erma La22; this suggestion is based on experience with other pistols.

Thank you carguychris, I think I got it. At least it seems to hand cycle better. Have to get to the range to really test it out. Bent the front of the feed lips a little more inward.
