I consider this an intentional design characteristic rather than a flaw per se. It's off-putting to many autoloader shooters who reflexively sneer at DAO pistols, but IMHO if you don't like it, then the SIG P250 is simply not for you; it doesn't make the pistol an inherently bad design. __________________ "Smokey, this is not 'Nam. Did you miss the part where it shot 6 inches low at 10 yds? I carry a gun for a living and this was not acceptable to me. I am not attacking Sig just this pistol as I own a 226 with no problems at all. |

My friend's handgun. Can't remember what it was but it never made it through a range trip without at least a dozen FTFs, FTEs, etc. lol

All 1911s are not created equal. I wouldn't know how you get this one to malfunction under normal shooting conditions.

Reliable 1911's and unreliable 1911's
Most reliable I've owned:
Norinco Argentine Modelo 27 (horrible trigger though) Least reliable Kimber CDP II Taurus PT 1911 I still have the first two but not the second two |

....and in the totally unreliable category
I have an AMT (Irwindale made) Automag II that is completely unreliable except for Winchester Super X hollowpoints-but it is a lot of fun to shoot and since it's only for recreational shooting I hang on to it

My first handgun was a 4506. The third time I used it shooting outdoors on a friends land the external extractor arm flew off the slide never to be found. It took months to locate a replacement. Finally sourced one - had it repaired and sold it the next day. Must say that aside from that - and I'd never buy one again because of that - it was a nice gun to shoot.

Taurus pt99 9mm the accuracy was the worst, like 4ft groups at 10ys. Worthless unless you wanted to hold it on things to shoot them.
