TZ-75. Had at least 5-6 jams with every magazine.

I've heard so many bad things about the Bersa Thunders that I was scared away from buying one. If we're talking ugliest gun, it would have to be anything ever made by HiPoint.

What flaming piece o crap. The longest trigger pull known to man. Not to mention the reset which had to go all the way forward for another shot to be fired. Then of course the fact that it shot 6 inches low at 10 yards with 115 grn fmj. Traded it for an AK74 best trade ever.

Jennings J-22, never once got it to fire a full mag without an issue.

I'm waiting for a buyback for that thing. It doesn't deserve a good home, it deserves a steam rolling.

Cobra C380. The cocked indicator on the back of the firing pin gets bent from the guide that is rough and angled wrong....after it bends, it prevents the weapon from cocking.

Removing it makes it function well until a couple hundred rounds when the extractor wears and fails to extract causing a jam.

This is due to using stamped metal that (zinc coated) should be replaced with a harder metal.

Crazy thing is the design function is an easy fix and low cost but they stamp them out daily.

Anything that has 1911 engraved on the side of it. I have had several different ones, each more spendy than the last.

But the worst was a Llama 1911 9mm, I traded that cheap to a gunsmith student for a project gun with specific instrucions not to depend on it.

That is completely incomprehensible ! Kinda makes me think the problems lie somewhere other than with the guns. Just sayin'

I gave up on the 1911 platform several years ago, I went to a Glock for my .45, never looked back.

I will admit that I expect my automatic pistols to be absolutely reliable and jam free, maybe I'm asking too much? My pistols are Berettas, and Glocks, they fill my demands fine, and I'm the only one I intend to please.

POS

A Llama .45acp, 1911 style. Beautiful on the outside...polished and shiny. Took the slide off and inside the slide and frame looked like they had been finished with a wood rasp.

^^^ I saw one "disassemble" itself while firing.

The biggest POS I have ever owned was a Norinco 1911, I never fired a complete magazine without a stoppage. I know others guys that have had better luck, maybe mine was a lemon

Of the guns I've personally shot, European-style SIG P220 hits the top of the chart. Heavy, bad balance, and the heel magazine release sucked. Couldn't even make it work just as a range toy; did not enjoy shooting it in the slightest.

Not sure id call it a PoS but my least favorite gun was aColt 1911 officers model I bought in 1995. Slide scratched a deep gouge in the barrel first use. FTFs and FTEs common. Was not accurate or perhaps I was too inexperienced at the time. Eventually got rid of it when i needed some cash. Only gun i felt that detached/ ambivalent about that I sold it for that motivation. Next to that the Desert Eagle .50AE. Pimp gun. Low on my list. One step up was a S&W .22lr target pistol. Cheap feel to it. Walther PPKS was average. Favorites have been my 92FS and my Kimber Super Carry Pro .45. Other than the Colt have never owned any firearm that was not quite reliable.

Junque...

Not mine, but the local S.O. bought Smith 4506s when they came out and in quals after issue the first round from the first pistol caused the barrel bushing to separate from the slide and fly off downrange.

Uh, these are the same trigger characteristics as nearly every modern DA/SA or DAO revolver, and the SIG trigger has a lighter pull weight and smoother travel than many of those.

I consider this an intentional design characteristic rather than a flaw per se. It's off-putting to many autoloader shooters who reflexively sneer at DAO pistols, but IMHO if you don't like it, then the SIG P250 is simply not for you; it doesn't make the pistol an inherently bad design.

I agree with the above - out 15 handguns I have encompassing every type of trigger, my P250 has the best trigger IMO. It's also as accurate as any other gun I have. It's one of those that people seem to love or hate. For the money, I think the compact model is the best buy among the semi-autos out there. Although they do seem to vary in price quite a bit around here.

I guess I haven't owned a real lemon yet so I don't a pick for worst gun. The most boring would be my Browning Buckmark Camper but it shoots fine.

Where have you been reading that? I have 2 Bersa: Thunder 380 and 22. The BT380 is my carry gun and I trust it that much.

You should visit http://www.bersachat.com/forums/forum.php where you can read good information from other Bersa owners.

As for 1911s, my three, a MetroArms American Classic (+1K rounds), Colt Gov't Model (300 rds) and STI SPartan V (9MM/ +500 rds) have been 100% reliable. I have not had any problems with these and look forward to owning more, next one a carry gun.

^^^^^ Ditto that. I always heard bersa was one of the few inexpensive pistols you could actually count on.

Well i would say my AR that someone built which is where i came up with my name, lol.
Since it's a pistol section i'll say my Kahr P40 old style. The thing wouldn't feed hardly on the feed ramp. The bullet nose would hit the slide release lever pushing it up. The bullets sometimes would lodge in the ejection port. A brand new mag had to be bent to feed at the equal angle of my other mags. I think i finally got it worked out.
Thats what i get for buying it at the pawn shop.

1911

Seems like there are a lot of votes for the 1911. I add another. They were a good design 100 years ago, But so was the model T how many of us still drive one of them.

S&W Sigma 380. Horrible little pistol designed by gunsmithing school rejects. Bad squishy trigger. Had to be disassembled by removing a pin. Worst expenditure of cash, EVAH!

S&W 915. One souless POS, and inaccurate as well.
This is far from the worst of all time, but I second that it was without soul and inaccurate. Mine was also jam-prone if not kept meticulously clean. It was stablemate with my Browning HP (my overall favorite semi-auto) and did NOT fare well in comparison. Sold it after a few years.
