out shooting my 2 AR's today with wolf and barnal ammo

One is in PSA in 7.62x39, and the other is dpms in .556

Both were sighted in for 100 yards with old prostaff Nikon's in 3-9 power.

The group on the left us AK round in WPA 125 gr sp measuring 1.75 inch center to center. The group on the right is another 3 shot group with golden bear 62 gr so, measuring 5/8 inch group. The 2 shots to the right and a little higher were from a 308 Ruger Pred.

steve

Who says Russian ammo sucks. The 7.62x 39 is going deer hunting with me.

Actually you can see it moving every time you hit it.

stolivar:

Some people find it distasteful that the lower-cost, imported ammo is adequate.

You'll probably see some mocking from those who practice (by choice) with much pricier ammo.

Looks to me like you tagged out even before you dropped any game.

For some it's that the ammo is dirty, and then there's the bimetal bullets.

Avoiding super-heated barrels will reduce the effects of using bimetal bullets.
