resizing 30-30 brass to 35 rem.

I'm shopping for a new/used Marlin 336 (sold mine a few years back). I still have several hundred brass. I want to shoot cast bullets in the gun and might consider a 35 Rem. caliber if the right one comes along. Can 30-30 brass be re-sized to 35 with relative ease. Is it as simple as running them thru 35rem dies and trimming to length, or is something else involved.

Nope, nope, won't say it, wouldn't be prudent, nope. Oh, all right.

No! You can't resize 30-30 Winchester to 35 Remington!

There, I said it.

Several reasons:
1- 30-30 is a rimmed cartridge and 35 Remington is rimless. Yes, you could turn the rim off, but then you would have other issues, notably #2.
2- 30-30 has a smaller head size than 35 Remington. You cannot resize something smaller into something bigger.
3- 30-30 has a larger rim than 35 Remington. Not the same as #1: this is a firearm issue. The bolt is set up to hold a cartridge of a certain rim size.

Thanks scorch! I realized the error of my ways as soon as I hit "submit reply", lol. Sometimes I write before I think.
