Winchester 231. I buy it buy the keg and reload the same. Meters well, small charges are economical, accurate and readily available.

For my 40 S&W I use W231 or plain Clays. Both work great for plinking rounds and I'm no where near the max load for either.

You can get over 1000 rounds from a pound of Universal. I use it for plinking loads in the .40 with plated bullets. I don't load 9mm.

Powder Pistol... It is intended for high performance pistol rounds such as the 9mm, 40 S&W, and 10mm.

I started off with unique and was not happy at all. Powder Pistol is leaps better for 9mm in my opinion. Tried Bullseye at the same time as Powder Pistol and got better results with Powder Pistol.

I've had good luck with HP-38, Universal, AA #5, Tightgroup, and Power Pistol and as it turns out I would rate them in the order I have listed them. (An accident) These seem to burn clean and work well with either Barry's or X-treme bullets.
