Browning Hi Power question
Will the slide from a Mkll Hi Power fit on a MKlll frame?
Or will it with minor fitting?

Trigger connectors are different (old style vs new style, or straight vs paddle). If you are adept, you can fit it.

Just learned some good news. Bar-Sto make a 9mm barrel that will fit in a .40 S&W hi power & it is supposed to work. That would save a lot of time and money since I was going to buy a used BHP slide and a Bar-Sto barrel to convert my .40 BHP.

"...9mm barrel that will fit in a..." Still requires fitting by a smithy and a heavier return spring. And it'd still be less expensive than a whole slide.
The .41 AE barrel I put in years ago wasn't a great idea. (Would have been worse if I hadn't bought 500 cases too.) Suspect it needs a far heavier spring than was suggested in the gun rag article that sucked me in.

Going from a .40 to a 9 will require a lighter spring. A .40 barrel will not fit in a 9 slide. The barrel top lugs are different.
