Ammo Giveaway
Hey guys, got a question. I started a community facebook page called Make Guns, Not War (check it out and like if you want, I could always use more fans) Anyway, in a shameless attempt to get people to join my page, I want to do a sort of sweepstakes where I give away a prize to a random person that shares a certain post, after that post has gotten X amount of shares. My question is, can I legally give away boxes of ammo? I live in WI.

I'll give you the standard response- You need to find a lawyer versed in firearms laws in your jurisdiction. And probably the jurisdiction of the winner.
And probably every jurisdiction of every possible contest entrant to help you for the "Not valid in jurisdictions that would prevent it or for winners prohibited by law" language. You may do better swapping it to a something that will generate ammunition- reloading manual (preferably one from a company that just released a new edition) or gift certificate to the nearest "big box" type sporting goods store closest to the winner. Let Cabelas and Gander Mountain decide if it's legal. |

Sorry, but this is solicitation, not discussion of law or civil-rights issues.
