New book on color case hardening
John Seim, who has taught color case hardening for two summers at TSJC, has finished his book, Color Case Hardening Firearms. It's spiral bound and filled with color pictures and is the first book I've seen since Steele and Harrison's book, Gunsmiting. The book should be available by Amazan sometime later this month.

An art, not a science, years to learn, patience to practice, and above all, understanding, memory, and a great skill for incorporating information and putting it into proper context.
I haven't got any of them going for me. I certainly admire any skilled worker like this.

A book I'd like to read. I've been doing it as a hobby and found it to be rewarding.
