2 for 1 Elk
A little story just in.
A bowhunter near Powder River came across these two great bulls. One was alreday dead so he took the other with his bow. He gets to keep both since the first died of natural causes. He's having them mounted as is. |

Similar event happened here in Wyoming this year - don't have too many details since it was't highly publisized and I only heard it over the radio as the G&F discussed it.
Anyway, some guy had taken his young daughter elk hunting, found a pair of bull elk in the same tangle. She shot the surviving one and the second was already dead. The G&F gave her another license since the surviving elk was in such sorry shape it's meat was wasted. No idea if she got to keep either or got another. You hear of these things happening, but I ain't seen one yet. Maybe one day... I'd think it's rare engough that I'm amazed there were two such events this year on the entire continent!

same thing happened around here (southern ohio ways) 2 whitetails had gone at it and died in a ladys pond, she called her son in law or something and he pulls em out. cabella's up in michigan hears about it and all but hands him a blank check for em. i'm not sure if they have them mounted yet, but i plan to ask about them when i head back thataways.
