Has anyone used either the Benelli Sport or the new Beretta AL391? I am plaaing to purchase one of them, for occasional trap and skeet shooting.

I was told that the Benelli may be too light and kicks a bit for a semi-auto.

My two cents is buy the Beretta. A 390 is great. I am a Level II NSCA instructor that works with over 100 new shooters per year. The berettas hod up well and can be "worked" from casual to "full meal deal" as far as you pocket will let you go.

Out of the box the 390 swings great and there is little recoil. If recoil is a problem send your bbl to Briley, Ballsitic or Seminole. A forcing cone and backbore jobe will have you wondering what appened.

If you want more email me, I would be glad to help

I also look at both guns. Talked to the guys at my sports club. The recommendation was get the AL390 Beretta if you can afford it. I did and have not been disappointed.
