ATF Redefinition - 1/25/2018 Deadline for Public Input
Below is a link to the ATF's "Application of the Definition of Machinegun to Bump Fire Stocks and Other Similar Devices" text.
https://www.regulations.gov/document...2018-0001-0001 The issue with this twofold (at least). 1.) The agency would be creating law and not enforcing it. This would be an expansion from the legislative process. 2.) A "rate increasing device" can be interpreted to mean virtually anything. I personally don't care about bump fire, however this is a dangerously slippery slope. The GOA has a form letter response which may be used as well as the commenting link. There is at this point nothing to discuss. The ATF has not proposed any regulations. The ATF is soliciting information. As stated in the notice:
