Need Feedback..

Just reloaded some shotshells:
use first-fired WinAA hulld,
loaded with 69 grs FFG,
three T/C wonderwads as over-powder wads,
1-1/8 oz of #7-1/2 shot,
crimped with MEC 600JR with depressed center, not like Factory.

Will fire couple shell in M97 (1927 dated) then if no observed problems, will try in Remington 1894 SxS, barrels appear damascus, but used penetrant Dye check and didnot see any spiralling as a Damascuc should.

Any opinions?

the only problem with doing a die check on the barrel is they usually fault from the inside. checking the outside don't feed the bulldog. The only true way to check them is to xray them. then I would still not trust it.

The 1894 was made during the changeover to fluid steel, general consensus was that Damsacus were beter quality.
Looking thru the bores there is no discernable spiralling, the dye check was done under the handguard as the damascusing fades out.
Next time I go to the dentist going ask if he wouls consider the project.
