I have a Remington 1100 LT-20 that I'm looking at for a friend. The o-ring that is just in front of the piston doesn't seem to seat itself when barrel is fully assembled. It seems like the o-ring will not seat so the barrel can't seat fully against the receiver. If you force the barrel to seat against the receiver then the piston and action bar assembly are pushed back and the hammer will not release. I tried replacing the o-ring with a new one, cause it looked a little swollen, but that didn't help either. I compared this 1100 LT-20 with my 1100 20 (non-lightweight), and everying seems to be assembled correctly on the LT. I've taken the LT completely apart and the piston assembly does fit in the cylinder without sticking. If I assemble the gun without the o-ring it seems to work fine (dry fire), and the piston and barrel seat completely. Anybody have any suggestions or ideas on what may be wrong?
Thanks
Tony
