Does anyone make these? Cabela's and gunbroker didn't turn up any results.

I know Chiappa makes a bunch of different flavors of Sharps rifles. Anyone here ever own one of their gun? Most look to be full-length barrels, but that can fixed. I bet they are priced in the range of those Shiloh's, though.

Not to say anything against Chiappa, but the only Italian copy I have seen any number of at BPCR matches where they actually keep score is Pedersoli.

I have NOT seen a Chiappa copy of Sharps in actual use to know about them for sure. I see a fair number of Pedersolis and very occasionally an Armi Sport.
The exchange rate is such that buying an import is false economy. A Shiloh still costs more but will not depreciate very fast. Me? I shoot a Japanese Browning "Highwall" and a real Winchester. A more modern design and more efficient. |

If Chiappa's Sharps is in any like their 1892 Winchester, it's likley to be first class.
