CA, SF Bay Area Shoot: Monday, August 5, 2002
Announcing the third monthly "First Mondays" meeting of SF Bay Area Shooters. Thanks to sven for starting this tradition! As you can tell, most of this post is cribbed from his July announcement. Hope he doesn't mind my taking the liberty of posting this . The meeting will be at:
Reed's Indoor Range 1100 Duane Ave, Santa Clara (408) 970-9870 Monday, August 5th, 2002 7:00 - 9:00 PM Directions (also a map): Take Highway 101 to Santa Clara (South from SF, North from San Jose) Exit San Tomas Expressway (East) ...Immediately get into left-most lane.... Turn Left onto Scott ...stay in left lane... Turn left onto Jay ...hooks to the right and becomes Duane (Frontage Road to 101)... Reed's is down about half a mile on the Right Side. Notes: I missed last month's meeting because I read about it too late . Hopefully we can countinue the trend of increasing turnout this month. No steel or aluminum casings are allowed. Rifles are allowed if in a Pistol Caliber. This is a well-lit 25 yard indoor range, 20 lanes. $15/hour for two people, $10 for singles. Reed's seems generous with the definition of 'hour'. Fully stocked store with ammo, and anything else you might need. Nice folks. If it's your first time there, you can print and fill out the release form beforehand. The form also has the range rules on the second page. I'll be in the black "Molon Labe" hat shooting my new CZ-97B with a huge grin on my face . enkiduEOT |

YES. I will be there!
Thanks for taking the bull by the horns this month... much appreciated. I will be identifiable by my black TFL shirt / Molon Labe hat, and/or the Glock 17 and CZ-75B I will be firing. Looking forward to meeting you and anyone else interested in finding like-minded Bay Area shooters. -sven |

My pleasure . I'll have a 97B and a Browning Buckmark and (maybe) my PCR will be back from it's trigger job (11 weeks and counting ). Either way, it should be a blast (pun intended).
So, anybody else? EnkiduEOT |

Excited to try that 97B... have you had any feeding issues with HP bullets on that gun?

You'll be welcome to shoot it. I haven't shot it yet, just picked it up a couple weeks ago and I haven't had time to go to the range yet. I mostly shoot ball but am willing to try anything. i'm particularly interested to see if it will feed SWC. Unfortunately I only have one magazine (the ones I ordered 12 days ago still haven't arrived ) so it might go kinda slow. Still should be fun.

Hokay, gotta busy schedule today, me. But I'll try to be there. Gotta DSP company meeting at 7 PM today, so I'll have to come early and bug out early. Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you folks before I gotta go.
I shall bring my .45 Broomhandle, and an East-German Makarov at the very least. It depends on what I've got ammo for. I shall be wearing a black sweatshirt with a prominent "DSP" logo on the front. It's hard to miss. hope I see you there!
