S&W 649 .357 forcing cone question

I've got a 649 stainless steel bodyguard .357 mag that I've had for a few years. It only has around 200 rounds of fed .357 125 jhp and 100 rounds of .38 130 fmj through it. Today, I was detail cleaning it and I noticed that on the left hand side of the forcing cone a small lip has formed. It is only on the left hand side and forms a half moon lip that you can feel with your fingernail. The right hand side of the cone looks new and forms a crisp 90 degree angle. There are no cracks or other indications of wear and the gun shoots fine. Should I worry about this slight peening? Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks

Are you sure that is peening and not lead n copper buildup ?

It does sound like it is out of time.

Yes, It's peening of the stainless steel. If it were lead or copper, I would have been able to scrape it off. It looks like I may have to return it to S&W if its out of time like you suggest. Thanks for the help.
