For whatever it's worth, Coogs, I keep an eye out for Maximums whenever I go to the gun show. Should I ever spot one, I plan to pull up your ads and see if I can help you find the ones in the ad you bump every month in The Gun Show forum.

You know Coogs there a chance, a razor thin one at that, that Ruger could reintroduce the Maxis.

Silver, I have contemplated that, but, IMHO, it won't even be close to the same gun as the original. The cylinder will be longer, hence the frame window will be bigger, they may be made in a blued version, maybe, given the advances in metallurgy since 1980, but I expect to see a new version in stainless only. Plus there are no Max specific parts left. Ruger scrapped them all, along with over 5000 completed guns and or serialized frames.

I was at a mom and pop store about 4 years ago in Gillette that had about 12 different max's on display for sale. Cant remember the name but always wanted to go back and see if they were still there.
