My grandpa bought a 922 brand new in 1950. In his later years he hid it and it became lost. He died in 1962. We found the box, but no gun. I always wanted one to remember him by, so in about 1985 I bought a K serial number identical to yours (K31175). Then in around 2000 I bought an average 1950 6" 922 to shoot (K 2175). In 2011 my uncle was poking around in the attic and found a cloth bundle under a loose floor board. It was grandpa's gun, fully loaded. (K 13037). A few years ago a neighbor asked me if I wanted to buy his 922, so I did (K 5007). So I have a bunch of 922s, all 1950.

Those old H&R revolvers are great guns. I love mine. Great score.
