Sig releasing 15 round P365 mag end of summer
Yeah! Osage has it listed, of course since it's not out yet, there is no point in linking it. (https://www.osagecountyguns.com/sig-...-365-9-15.html)
I for one am digging the P365 being modeled the opposite direction of the P320. The P320 first came out as a full. But even the subcompact p320 is huge. With the current 3.5 extra barrel/slide you can buy now, it's not hard to see some day a full size P365 will exist with extra barrel, slide, mag, and grip. Not sold on modular systems, but if I were, this is the direction I would go. Last edited by wild cat mccane; May 19, 2019 at 10:20 AM. |

Why is there no point in linking it? It seems to be the main impetus for this thread...would be nice to get to without Google searching for it.

Than you sir for linking it.
I see it on gunmagwarehouse.com as well. I agree, this is pretty cool. The P320 was imo always sort of limited by being crammed in a P250 frame. This is more like from the ground up. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk |

They can call the full size the P260 (5 days a week, 52 weeks a year) as a contrast because I'd only be carrying a full size when I'm on the clock.

S&w and Glock all have extended their subcompacts, longer shields and 43, it’s certainly viable option

Well, seeing how slight the difference is between P365 10 and 12 round mags, I expect their 15 rounder won't make the gun much taller than the Walther PPS M2 I already carry with an 8 round mag. I've already seen side-by-side that the 12 round is shorter.
Some third party outfit is releasing a steel 15 round mag for the new 43x/48 wonder-twins, so I guess this is a new world we're living in. If Glock and Sig end up being the 15 round single stacks, it's hard to imagine every other manufacturer not jumping on the bus at some point. Personally I'd prefer the 10/12/15 options of a P365 only because you can be more flexible with grip length. I can conceal my PPS with 8 round mag no problem AIWB, but sometimes I want or need to carry it behind my hip, and there, the mag length makes all the difference. |

Looking forward to seeing it. Worse case scenario, it gets relegated to a magazine holder.

The steel 15 round Glock 43X? I would think it would chew up the mag release?
The reason I still carry my 4th Gen Glock 19? And not my 43X? 16 rounds out of the gate, beat's 11. Plus the spare (just in case) 17 round magazine. Mind you, that little 9mm is sure easy to carry and quick out of the holster... Decisions. |

A 3.5 slide/barrel already exists.
Basically it's the P320 modularity starting with an ultra small subcompact. If an aftermarket 3.5" barrel/slide exist, it's not hard to imagine a Full grip and slide/barrel with a 21 rnd mag. Basically, the P365 firing control unit can move just like the P320. So, why not? |

https://shieldarms.com/sig-p365-long-slide-kit So I can spend $550 on the gun, another $450 to extend the slide by 0.5", and even more to up the capacity? Sign me up!!! |

Agreed. Makes as much sense to get the P320 in full and convert to the SC, or get the SC and convert to the full. None at all. But it's nice to have 15 in the P365

Oh yeah I definitely see value in the extra rounds -- they certainly don't hurt anything and if you can conceal it, then run with it. It's the extra slide that throws me off

I personally think, hold on to your hats(!), the 15 round mag is where the P365 is going to change the game. It wasn't before, that just changed all the single stacks.
Nay! The 15 round P365 kills ALL sizes. Most owners don't collect the quantities of guns like most of us. If you can get a P365 that fits a pocket and has a full size mag? I mean, XD is the only modern gun I haven't owned...but look at this beauty in the P365. What does my PPQ or VP9 do better? If a fuller size grip comes out at $24 bucks? Not much. Modern day rounds don't need larger barrels anymore to do what they do. Kids, what's the point of buying multiples or even considering options? Get the one P365 and you've got the whole enchilada. The extra options out there are now just for us enthusiasts. Really, the P365 SHOULD ravage the full size sells. It SHOULD ravage the mid size sells. To a degree, it's going to happen Not us, the collectors, the average one gun owner. This is the it. |

While I get the excitement is in part in jest, the reality is plenty of people are still carrying pistols of the size of the P365 with less capacity. Capacity isn't the only deciding factor.

I know! and given the P365 trigger is almost as good as the best (the PPQ), comes with night sights, and is the same width of the Shield/G43/PPS single stacks--peeps picking up a carry 9mm are either choosing price or a personal kink to not get the P365

Capacity clearly isn't everything -- if you can shoot some other gun with 7 rounds much better, then carry the one you shoot best, and for me right now the PPS M2 is still the king of compact 9s I can shoot really well. But after August it seems that any other gun made and sold that's 1" wide and still only holds 6-8 rounds will seem like yesterday's cold lasagna. |

I guess so. A lot of people with personal kinks though, myself included.

Would be pretty dang funny if the 15rnd mag only fit the P365XL...

So it looks in the picture for the 365XL that the 15 Rd mag has a spacer. I imagine it would fit, but you'll need a different spacer if you care about that.

Just shipped for Legion members willing to pay $49.
So it will fit the P365, not just the XL. |
