Howdy, all,

I'm going to be in Atlanta for the next couple of months on business. Can anyone smart on Atlanta recommend a good indoor range for some pistol work to stay in practice? I probably won't bring any long guns. I'll be staying near the airport, so I guess something on the southeast side would be best, but I'll yield to your judgement. An indoor range associated with a good gun store would be perfect...well, come to think of it, a good gun store might be a bit hazardous to my budget!

Thanks for the help.

ScottS,

Got just the place for you. Very close to the airport. Place is called Georgia Range & Guns. From I-285 at the airport you will want to get on I-75 southbound. Take the first exit (Forest Park - Farmers Market) and get in the left lane. At the first traffic light make a left turn and you'll be on the access road that goes behind the Farmers Market. About 1 mile and you'll see Georgia Range and Guns on the right. Can't miss it. They have a big sign. I think they have something like 15 pistol lanes there.

Thanks for the advice and the EXCELLENT directions. Sounds just like what I'm looking for. Do you know if they have rental guns, also?

Thanks for the help.

Yes, they have several rental guns if I remember correctly. I've never shot there myself (I live an hour away from there) but I've heard good things about the place. I bought my safe there though. They have the best selection of safes in stock of anyplace I've been.

Thanks, again. I'll look them up when I'm in Atlanta.

ScottS,

We shoot an IPSC every Tuesday night at Georgia Range and guns. Show up between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. You will need gun, ammo, holster, mag pouch, and extra mags. You shoot for free your first time!

Now, this is getting too tempting. I'm supposed to be working! I'm going to bring my Sig and IDPA holster, belt, and plenty of mags, so maybe I can FORCE myself to take some time away from the grind.

I can see I'm going to have to discipline myself, or I'll never get anything done.

Thanks for the invite. See you some Tuesday.
