Bought Shotgun at Gunshow

Hi
I bought a Mossberg 9200 at a gun show the other day. While shooting it the next day, it would fail to return to battery after firing about every 6th shell. It ejects fine, but the bolt stays open with the next shell just sitting there. I tap the bolt and it snaps shut easily. Then after another 5-6 shots, the same thing. Any ideas on what to do to remedy this? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Dave

What kind of rounds are you firing? Try some 3" magnums and see if that works...

I got the gun to shoot clays. So I'm shooting 2 3/4 shells, 1 1/8 oz. I just broke it completely down and gave it a good cleaning, I'll see if that helps.

I've had one for 3 or so years, I actually like it better than any shotgun i've ever ownedbut i'll say this. The gas system gets dirty quickly, like every 200 rounds or so and slows down the action. learn the gas system, get the oring in right and you be fine. you might want to order some extra orings to have on hand.
