Shooting in the Desert

Did some plinking today in the desert surrounding Las Vegas. Temp around 70 degrees with no wind...perfect. Set up targets at 25, 50 and 75 yards, using a Browning Buckmark ,22lr.

Yeah, but sometimes you need to make your own luck. I left the East coast 30 yrs ago and headed West, fed up with the congestion and lousy weather.
Make it happen!

Great places to plink. Just wish everyone would pick up their brass and not leave a mess. Most do, but a few don't and that gets the enviros and anti gunners stirred up.

Vegas is nice....now. Get out of there about June, though - even Northern NV can get a tad warm in the summer.......and it doesn't matter if it's a "dry heat" - 115 is still hot!

Sand is very abrasive !! Clean guns very thoroughly. Empty cases will pick up sand and that will quickly wear out even carbide dies !!! Wash them before they get near dies !
