I need to remove the front swing swivel from my Ruger 10/22 to install a B-Square bipod. Do I unscrew it and replace it with a new stud? Do I cut the swivel to remove it so I don't have to replace the stud?

Gunboy, it depends on the swivels you have. If you have quick detachable swivels, then you loosen the cap and push in until the pin is cleared then turn the offside until it clears the pin and pull out. If you have just a simple swivel it should be cut in the center. You'll have to bend it a little to clear the stud and then just remove it. I believe all the B-Square bi-pods that attach at the stock incorporate the swivel stud in their mounting. George
