Hodgdon Website Question
I was looking at the Hodgdon website this morning to see what load suggestions they had for my daughters .223. Looking up Win 748. Kind of got confused as it only showed a max. 53gr bullet.
Now I know to reduce by 10% and workup, but what confused me is that I'm not used to see just a max on the Hodgdon website. All I've ever seen was a min and max even for 748, which I have looked up before and could have sworn that it had a min and max before but now only shows a max. What gives? Minimum recoil/least powder consumption load shooters probably probe below the recommended min anyway.

You're doing better there than I am.
Can't get the reloading data to even work. No action at all, can't get past the caliber entry page, trying with every browser on the computer in Windows 7. Anyone else having this problem?

The recipe for 748 is the only one they list with only a max load for a 53 gr bullet in .223. All other powders they list show a min and a max. I too would think the standard 10% rule would be the route to take because there is no "do not reduce" warning. I've found that Hodgdon is very good and very quick to respond to any questions I have ever e-mailed to them. You can also call them @ their reloading center help line......(913-362-9455)
