2004 Taurus Model 85B2
Can anyone tell me what all the different numbers and letters mean on my Taurus 85. For instance I found a X on the inside where the ejector rod sits, why? There is also a 48 on the bottom side of the stock, why? There is also a 7796 85 under the ejector rod housing, why? Any help is greatly appreciated. Have an awesome day

The model number is stamped on the frame inside the crane. I forget where the serial number is. Those are the only two things you really have to worry about.

I do know that an X at the end of a serial number on a Taurus indicates that it is either a blemishes or refurbished gun. Kygunco has a lot of these "blem" deals.
Not sure if the location of your x is the same thing though. |
