Neck sizing fired brass

What's the rule of thumb on how many times you can neck size and what should you do when you reach that point?

Generally, After three or four firings you will need to bump the shoulder. You can tell when you reach this point because the cartridge will become difficult to chamber.

I have never had to bump the shoulder in any load for my Blaser or my M41B, and have gotten as many as 16 shots out of a piece of brass in the M41.

depends on the brass, the chamber, the load, etc

I am going to go with a non-answer; You will know. Its different in all my guns. Some I can get away with it for a long time others maybe 5 times, it just depends. You can get a forester body die to do the job, you can just bump them in a FL die or go all the way back to FL sizing them and start over. Usually when they don't fit any more and I FL size them, its time to anneal also. I have gotten a lot of loads out of good brass this way. I have some 6mmBR Lapua brass that I have to neck turn:barf:that has lasted a loooong time 20+

I know that is not the answer you wanted but like I said you will know
