Stevens 520 / Remington 11

Been looking for a Stevens/Savage 520 or a Remington 11 in a 16 gauge for a while. Anybody happen to have any leads on either one of them. Would prefer it not to be in a Ranger or Sportsman but if all available, then so be it. Closer to TN the better

Prowl the pawn shops. That’s where I found my Model 11. Of course, there are 7 billion pawn shops in Houston, so the odds favored me finding one eventually.

Also, on the Texas Hunting Forum, a guy has a Belgian Browning in 16 ga.

There's a handful of then on Gun Broker right now. One is actually pretty close to me in IL. https://www.gunbroker.com/semi-auto-...230&mo=3001564

If you want to stay local, ask your favorite gun shops to keep an eye out for you. Or even put a want add in the papers.

If your shop hasn't found one for you in a reasonable time (&price), then ask them about their procedures if you bought one online. It's really not that bad, and is about the only way to get particular antiques.

The Irony

After trying to get our grandfathers gun collection from where he died (1987) and our grandmother in 2006, we were able to get with our aunt (executive) and get the collection split up. My oldest brother had the first pick (oldest great grandson) and was handed down our great grandfather's Parker Brothers SxS 16 gauge made in 1904.

My pick was a Remington 11 in 20 gauge with two barrels; one vent rib, one plain.

Others in the collection were a Ithaca Saddle Gun .22, Remington Nylon 66, Colt 1903 .32, Iver Johnson Owlhead, Sharps Pepperbox in .32 Short, H&R 922.
