12 ga shot gun loads

I searched all my manuals and I don't want to drive 80 miles to buy another one.

I need to know what charge of Red Dot for a 1 oz #8 shot, and what Mec Bushing. (I have a Mec 600 Jr.).

I need the shells loaded by Sunday.

Thanks

You have to enter any reloading table on shotshells ....

first with the hull....
then 1 oz ( it doesn't matter if its 8's or something else )
then the powder ( you said Red Dot )
then the primer
then the wad

you'll hopefully find a range of velocities that you like ....and pick one .../ I'd suggest 1200 fps if you're shooting clays ...( and I like 1 oz of 8's for Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clays in a 12ga )....

then when you know what the recipe is - in grains ....

go to the MEC bushing chart ....find your powder ...and the drop in grains you want ...and find the bushing...

You sure don't need to drive anywhere ...just use the Alliant Powder site if you want to use Red Dot ...

Example: if you pick Remington STS hulls ....you have a lot of options ...if you stay with Rem 209P primers ...and a Winchester WAA12 L wad as an example at 1150, or 1200 or 1250 fps ....and powder drops of 16.5 , 18 or 19.5 respectively ..........

Thanks for the link, I got the info for my components

For info, this was for a 3 gun match, I'll only be shooting steel. All I really needed was something to go "bang" safely.
