Ordered it Saturday and just received notice it went out priority mail this morning--not too shabby. I also discovered I have all the components on hand to assemble the gun from scratch, so I can continue using the 350L as a paper weight and tire iron.

Barrel just came in this morning, took me a while to get the various spare parts to cooperate with one another--some of them go back many years. Will post momentarily.

That's some impressive shooting! I love 2000MR.
I had my first failure today, I loaded up some 66gr Bart's flat base match bullets, but could not get them to cycle from the magazine without jamming on the chamber wall (COL 1.15). Straight hand-feed was OK.

I don't think small flat base bullets with a short COL will do very well in the ARC anyway--but maybe a change in seating depth will make a difference.

i havent shot anything but lightwieghts yet granted the noslers have a very slight bt and the 80g has a larger one , ive had reallygood luck with light flat base bullets in the gren so we will see , i alreayd had a box of sierra 75g hp's flat base i picked up loacally im loading a few of those now , was waiting till i finished my 80g 2000-mr testing first since theresno load data for 70/75g and 200-mr , i prolly wont get the arc back out till this sunday though , im heading out soon but im taking the shorty gren out to play

The main problem as I see it isn't the actual performance of the bullet in the bore--but the difficulty in maintaining concentricity when being gas-cycled from a magazine. The best group I ever shot was using a flat base bullet, so I know within limited ranges they can be very consistent.

just loaded up a ladder for 75g sierra flat base hp's
6 groups of 3 starting at 31.2-32.2g of 2000-mr in .2g increments

no published load data for 75g and 2000mr but looking at 80+ g data i know max is 31.5 @ 80g
and 30.6g at 90g bullet
and 30.3 at 95g bullet

so safe to assume max with 75g is right around 32g

im going to shoot theese after work tommorow since i open i get out early in the day

if this works well im going to try loading my 70g nosler balistic tips with the 2000-mr as well , though i have a 1 hole load for them with ppv already

I found that I need to bump the shoulder back a bit--not unusual for the Grendel--after the first firing of the ARC resized from Grendel.

odd i havent had to do that with any of mine , though i did have to size mine 2 times when converting from grendel to arc

the first pass threw the die wouldnt move the shoulder back , until after i trimed the brass back a lil bit , then run it hard into the arc die hard the second time with a final trim to size after that

i also converted a few geco x39 cases i had originally converted to grendel down to arc so far no issues with it either

im going to hit the range again tommrorw and test out those sierra 75g hp's and see how those do

ive got 2x monster 6mmarc 12" inch barrels inbound that ill be building here soon

really nice warm day today but by the time i got out of work wind was 30-35mph so i said screw the range , hopefully tommorow will be a better day since its my day off, i also havent shot my ar-10 creed build in a long time so i wanna drag that out got some loads with 6.5 staball i wanna try out.

speaking of the staball , if i can get my hands on some 115g rdfs for the arc im prolly going to try loading those with the staball load data says 2600 fps with those and staball, should work well with the 110 a-tips too

Sounds interesting--I have lots of staball and have had great results with it on larger cartridges. It is quite temperature stable and seems to have a bit more velocity than similar powders. I also have gobs of eld's--Midway had them in bulk for really cheap about a year ago.

That's either a HUGE gun or one tiny bench.
