40 cal load question
I bought a book from Gander mt the other day by Loadbooks USA for my .40 s&w. In this book it calls for 180 gr swc and starting load for titegroup 2.1gr doesn't that seem awfully low ?

Yes it does. I checked Hodgdon's book and website and could not find a load for Titegroup (they make it) for that weight and type of bullet. Also checked Lyman's 49th edition and the closest I could come up with is a 175 grain cast bullet and they do not list Titegroup at all as a powder to use.
I would suggest you change the bullet to a Hornady XTP and use the loads you will find on hodgdon's website. http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp Jim |

What is OAL listed for that load ?
Wadcutters usually need to be seated deeper in the case so that charge for titegroup might be right, especially if it is min charge |
