The Israelis have a new toy called the TAR-21. It is a gas operated bull pup rifle which is about 28" long, weights 5.5 lbs, fires .223 through its 18" (1-7" twist) free-floated barrel at 800 rpm, accepts telescopic, Infrared or laser sights (besides normal iron sights). Like the Steyr Aug, it can be fitted for left hand ejection. Cocking handle is on the left side of the gun and slide release is directly behind the magazine. The TAR-21 uses the AR-15/M16 magazine.
A sniper version with longer barrel and a Personal Defense Weapon version with extra short barrel will be available. ------------------ Vigilantibus et non dormientibus jura subveniunt |

It's on the cover of this month's, maybe last month's Guns & Ammo. Anyone know if there is any possibility of an importable version being made?
