Sellier & Bellot Primers - Any Experience?
Cabella's has Sellier & Bellot Primers on sale for $19.95 plus shipping and hazmat charge. I called the Cabella's in NW Atlanta and they have none in stock and it is also over an hour away.
I have never used anything but CCI and Winchester so I no experience with Sellier & Bellot. I have used their ammo and on all except particular type I have been well pleased. What is your experience with Sellier & Bellot Primers? |

I was using CCI exclusively but they were about $35 per brick at the local shows in SE Michigan. Last time Cabelas had S&B on sale I bought 16,000. I like the way they seat using my Dillon RL 550b. They are a little softer than the CCI's but work great for me in .38 and 9mm. There are many threads on them.

I had the chance to try a brick of SPP recently after using CCI exclusively.
So far they all go bang, no duds like the Wolf I tried. However they do seat differently. CCI tends to seat flush and has more of a smooth seat feel, while the S&B have seated below flush in my 9mm, some well below flush. They also have more of a two stage stepped feel when seating some brass, especially S&B brass. My CZ pistols seem to like them. Same country and all I suppose. I will be buying them again. |

Just got 10000 from Cabela's. 5000 for a buddy. Might be a week or two before I can get to shoot any. I already have 2700 cases primed, 400 rounds of 9mm loaded and another 700 Winchester SPP sitting on the bench. Think Ill run out of bullets before I load the S&B SPP.
I bought them because of what i've heard as well. See how it goes. Also I had them shipped. Cost me $219.78 with tax, hazmat, and a shipping discount. Comes out just under $24 per 1000 shipped. not bad. See how it goes.

I've put 5,000 through my AR's without a single issue.
I typically use CCI but at a 30% savings with 100% reliability I'll buy them again. |

I've loaded around 8000 spp so far with no problems and good results. Makes the name brand primers seem overpriced.

I've run over 10K thru my Glocks with OEM springs. Guys report problems with lighter striker springs though.

All worked just fine. |
