Streamlight Tlr1 Parts Interchangeability

I have a quick question, I've been looking at getting a tlr 1 hl and noticed they offer a long range version with a much larger reflector for a longer range beam. They both look the same except for the front end which screws off. So my question is whether or not one could swap the long range front end onto the regular tlr 1 hl body. Streamlight sells just the front end by itself off the long range version for $12. Anyone tried this? Thanks in advance!

I can definitely do that although I'm sure they'd be more interested in selling me an entire separate light so I thought I'd ask here first.
