22 Nosler

Since I didn't get much "warm and fuzzy" feelings from my recent excursion into the "land of the Valkyries", I made a spur of the moment decision to try the 22 Nosler.
I now have a barrel and 250 rounds of "Dogtown" ammo on the brown truck. We'll see how gnarly this project turns out.
This sort of thing is the result of all those "one day promo sales" that many of the internet retailers have been running. Now there's 3 big boxes of assorted AR parts just waiting for another impulse buy to finish the deal.

If the 224 Valkyrie didn't get you warm and fuzzy then the 22 Nosler won't help. My 22 Nosler experience has been horrible, inaccurate, garbage brass, and it just didn't do anymore than my 223 can do. My 224 Valkyrie experience has been better, but it's not what I'm interested in at the moment.

Don't blame you, my principal interest in the 22 nosler is that it doesn't require a special bolt--so I'm expecting a huge raft of wildcat spawns.

Truth of the matter is I'm only out the price of the barrel and whatever ammo I burn. All the other parts will be "recycled" if the project fails.
I'm ready to start cannibalizing some of my older less than effective projects anyway. A couple of early "use what you can find" 300 AAC projects that didn't really do what I wanted are slated for recycling soon. With the changes in our deer hunting regs, no real purpose for a 300 BO 16" carbine anymore.
