You should be able to edit posts if you are logged in. I just clicked the little edit blue button in the lower right hand corner just now after I posted this. I don't know if the classifieds are different or not. It recognises that I posted the message and therefore lets me have an edit icon on my messages. Recheck it.

snubbies - The edit button disappears in a post after 4 days. We believe that is enough time to get the wording right and not allow for revision after months or years have past. Of course, this is a problem for forums such as the buy/sell/trade forums when you would want to edit the first post and/or the thread title. A compromise is to leave a final post stating that the item is sold.
We can't remove the edit time window to accommodate those forums, and the vbulletin software doesn't allow for different time windows in the various forums. |

Well I did not notice the little edit button disappearing, but I never went back to change anything after a great time either. Well I guess we know now. There ought to be some way to just unpost the whole ad after a long time though, I would think. Otherwise how much memory does this forum use up anyway?

UNPosting
I agree. When a gun has been sold, as is my case now, it would be preferable to be able to remove the AD all together.
