Those grips are nice looking. I can't quite make out the emblem. Is a logo or simply a design?

Looks like USMC Globe and Eagle (correction: Eagle Globe and Anchor, as the OP correctly put it) to me.

Eagle Globe and Anchor

I got them from a local show from a local guy. If you had your military ID active or retired he sold them for $15 other than that they were $69. He only had 2 sets of these and had a lot of Navy and Airforce then after talking with him I understood why he was a naval officer.

You should have seen the line of people at his table he had a big sign up "military appreciation weekend lets give back".

Not sure what you mean by where I got the site? If you are referring to the website it is mine.

Nice looking grip panels. They really look great on your S&W.

Those are some great looking grips. Makes me want to go out and buy a stainless 1911 so I can get those grips.

I think what most of us are asking, is:

Why don't you give us his contact info, so we can buy some of his grips?
He clearly does nice work.

Awesome grips. I'd buy a couple if I had his contact info.

I am sorry fellas couldn't talk long with him he had a very long line. Though he is at every gun show so he told me. The next time around I will get his contact info and ask if it is ok to publish.

A quick google search did not turn up any in wood. shopping.com has some in pewter (I had never seen pewter grip panels before), and VZ does the EGA on green micarta panels.

I found references to a site called gungrip.net that alluded they might be available there, and other references to a guy who calls his company "nutmeg" - the references to him said he could make them to order.

Will Colt Grips fit on S&W 1911 full size auto? I bought a S&W 1911 about 2 years ago and wanted to get some new grips. It seems that they do but I was wondering if that were the case.

Not trying to high jack the thread, but you might try Etsy.

http://www.etsy.com/search?q=1911%20...ZZ&min=0&max=0

I have not purchased from anyone on Etsy for these, so I can't recommend them. But looking at buying my first 1911, so I was researching grips.

They look like Altamont grips to me. Here's a link to their premier line of grips, the USMC ones are in this lineup:
