How many Loads out of .375 H&H brass? Any luck with 250gr bullets in the .375 H&H?
How many loads have you gotten out of your .375 H&H brass? I'm using R&P (Remington) brass and so far I'm up to 3 loads with no signs of it giving out yet.
I was told around 3-5?????? My load is a 300gr SGK at 2500 fps. So it is pretty warm but not the max (the book lists the max as 2600 fps). Also there is a collet set online that supposedly allows you to get like 20 loads out of each case http://www.larrywillis.com/index.html any experience with this? does it work? worth the cash? Anyone have much success with bullet weights of 250 or less in the .375 H&H? Load data for accurate loads for those weights would be appreciated! Thanks pat |

I used to get 6 - 8 relaods out of my brass using full throttle loads. I discarded the cases when I saw the start of circumferential cracks ahead of the belt.
I know cases are expensive in this caliber but discarding a suspicious case always seemed preferable to trying to get part of a case out of the chamber.

My brother made some Speer 235gr loads for my dad's model 70 375H&H.
You can find 220gr, 210gr, and 200gr bullets for .375 cal as well. But they are expensive. We deer hunt with it. He used the RCBS dies. I think it was Reloader 19 or IMR 4350 powder and Remington 9.5 primers. He wrote the load inside the RCBS die box. I'll try to find it tonight.

Thanks fellas!! I've got plenty of IMR 4350 but the Rem Primers are near impossible to get around here!! I like the rem rifle primers so it's a double kick.
Let me know what you find! Thanks Pat |
