30-06, 1-10, 22", 600 yd zero, and your choice of factory load

fill in the blanks for ranges 100 to 1100 please, if you have the data.
sorry about the mistake, I had already made a new post because I didn't know how to edit or delete this one last night. and you're exactly right, that same guy you were talking about did respond to that post and answered. now if some one can tell me how to delete this post, I'd appreciate it because we're only supposed to have one on a given subject.

He wants us to search for ballistic data for a rifle we have no information on shooting a round that we don't know what brand of ammo, or bullet type and bullet weight it is and he wants us to give him that data because we are nice guys.

Hint to OP. if I told you I needed to know what kind and how much oil to put in my red car would you have the slightest idea how to answer that? Give us a break little buddy. We are glad to help but nobody here that I know of is a mind reader.

Ok, I will play...in order to reach out to 1000 yards in .308 you need the highest Ballistic Coefficient (BC) possible. Black Hills or Federal GMM w/ 175gr SMK or Lapua 155gr Scenar all have BC's higher than 0.5 so they should get you there if you have the skills to get them on target.

Here are three great sites that may answer many of your questions.

http://www.6mmbr.com/308win.html

http://www.snipercentral.com/308.htm

With any luck kraigwy will be along shortly with more info than I have provided.

I would immediately assume the OP is talking about using .308 even though he didnt mention it.

Im sure he will come back and elaborate, dont need to get mad.

Pretty sure it's 30-06, as in the title.

As stated above duplicate threads...

I will tell you now, If and only If, I had to use a factory load for My 3006, it's 180 grn Corelokts, and that would be the only factory stuff I'd feed my 700...

Why??? because it loved it... no other reason...

wnycollector, you mentioned that in order to reach out to 1000 yards in .308 you need the highest Ballistic Coefficient (BC) possible. Does this mean you think they can only do it with Sierra's 240 grain HPMK bullet?

It's possible with a long barrel with a 1:8 twist shooting 'em out at 2175 fps.

I don't have much experience with 30-06 and long distance, but in general a bullet with a high BC will travel farther than one with a low BC since it will retain its velocity better as it flies downrange from the muzzle, will resist the wind better, and will “shoot flatter”. I hope that helps.
