Dating my Browning Citori

Well, maybe not “dating” but identifying a production date....

I was always told my uncles gun was a ‘76 but I finally got around to doing some research and the serial number has ‘PY’ in the middle of it.

According to the above that would make it an ‘82, correct?

Thanks, looks like it is a Citori 12 ga. 3" Gr.1 Hunting (no surprise there) manufactured in 1982 with the serial number at the start of the code.

Interesting to see, I guess that means I'll get an extra 6 years out of her!
