WM Malcolm Traditional Rifle Scopes

I'm seeking feedback from anyone who may have any experience with the Featherwood/HI-Lux 1855 and 1880-1940 reproduction scopes. I'm looking for something 'traditional' that will mount to a .54 cal hex barrel while also looking 1800's sexy. These scopes seem to fit the bill, so far. I'm also open to 'other' period scopes, if anyone has any suggestions. I 'might' hunt with this rifle, (Lyman Great Plains Hunter, percussion with 1:60 twist for round ball), but mainly want to shoot at paper and do a bit of experimenting, for now. The attached link is a photo of one of the 'short' Malcolm period scope models that I am considering. Nothing fancy, just a simple ol' scope!
