"I said...I never had much need for one. {ie: pistol}

Didn't say...I didn't know how to use one."

We Were Soldiers

Moore (Mel Gibson): They attack us, no casualties, they run and hide in the mountains. Naturally we chase them, of course. Smell like an ambush to you?

Sgt.Maj. Plumley (Sam Elliot): They get close enough to kill us, we'll be close enough to kill them.

If you’ve never seen this movie you should, and more importantly if you never read about the individuals it is based on, Gen. Hal Moore and Command Master Sergeant Basil Plumley, you really should take a moment.

I can't believe this hasn't been put in here yet:

"That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't show up on your airport X-ray machines here and it costs more than what you make in a month!"

From the 2004 Punisher where Thomas Jane is talking to his dad about his 1911s, "You may mock, my friend. Just don't come crying to me when you shoot a crackhead full of 9mm and he responds by breaking your pissy little Glock over your head!"

Couple good ones from the new True Grit

Lawyer: So, you say that when Amos Wharton raised his axe, you backed away from him.
Cogburn: That's right.
Lawyer: In what direction were you going?
Cogburn: I always go backwards when I'm backing up.

Lawyer: Mister Cogburn, in your four years as US Marshal, how many men have you shot?
Cogburn: Shot? Or killed?
Lawyer: Let us restrict it to killed so we may have a manageable figure!

Mattie Ross: If I had killed Chaney, I would not be in this fix; but my gun misfired.
Lucky Ned Pepper: They will do it. It will embarrass you every time. Most girls like to play pretties, but you like guns do you?
Mattie Ross: I do not care a thing about guns, if I did, I would have one that worked.

Erno86,

The lines before that are pretty good too, and the look on Marston's face (along with his two cronies) pretty much shows that he knows he's made a big mistake when Quigley says,

"This ain't Dodge City,....and you ain't Bill Hickok."

Mine's from a really cheesy flick, but I liked the standoff. I'll leave out the movie for y'all to guess...without the aid of the internet.

Night Slasher: The court is civilized, isn't it pig?
Cobretti: But I'm not. This is where the law stops and I start - sucker!

From an even cheesier flick:

From Deadly Is the Female (1950, aka Gun Crazy)...

Bart (John Dall): "We go together, Annie. I don't know why. Maybe like guns and ammunition go together."

In the vein of cheesy flicks...

Will Smith handling the Noisy Cricket: "I feel like I'm gonna break this dang thing"

Ash in Army of Darkness: "This is my boomstick!"

Llewelyn: "At the gettin' place."

(looking at the crime scene)
Wendell: "It's a mess, ain't it, Sheriff?
Ed Tom Bell: "If it ain't, it'll do till the mess gets here."

From the sci-fi flick, Serenity

Captain Malcolm Reynolds "Jayne, how many weapons you plan on bringing? You only got the two arms."
Jayne Cobb "I just get excitable as to choice - like to have my options open."
Captain Malcolm Reynolds "I don't plan on any shooting taking place during this job."
Jayne Cobb "Well, what you plan and what takes place ain't ever exactly been similar."
Captain Malcolm Reynolds "No grenades."

Not a movie...but still one of my favorite gun related lines in visual media. Comes from Firefly, the show that spawned the movie Serenity:

[Jayne is walking menacingly towards Mal with a large gun]
Jayne: Six men came to kill me one time. And the best of 'em carried this. It's a Callahan full-bore auto-lock. Customized trigger, double cartridge thorough gauge. It is my very favorite gun.
[he holds the gun out to Mal]
Mal: [exclaims in Chinese] You offering me a trade?
Jayne: A trade? Hell, it's theft. This the best gun made by man. It has *extreme* sentimental value. It's miles more worthy 'n what you got!
Mal: What I got? She has a name.
Jayne: So does this. I call it Vera.
Mal: Well, my days of not takin' ya seriously are certainly comin' to a middle.

From the 2001 movie "Heist". Joe Moore (Gene Hackman), stands over the wounded Bergman (Danny DeVito) pointing a gun at him. Bergman "wait don't you want to hear my last words?" Joe Moore "I just did".

The Enforcer (2nd Dirty Harry movie)

Tyne Daly: Everyone else on the force carries a .38, why do have to carry that canon around?

Harry: Because I hit what I aim at.

Plumley (Sam Elliot): Time comes I need one, sir, there'll be plenty of 'em lying on the ground.

Charles Bronson in "Villa Rides": "Where are your manners? Go outside to die".

Other movies:

"Too bad. He was faster with his mouth then he was with his gun".

"That's the first time I've ever seen a gun wearing a man".

"You better use that gun right smartly, because I'm going to come over that barrel and kick your guts out".

Paul Newman to Richard Boone: "Just how DID you plan on getting back down that hill"?

"I'm gonna stick you. I'm gonna stick you GOOD.....Hey, WAIT"......BANG.

Gary Cooper to Walter Brennan: "I'm a-comin' ta get ya judge".
Brennan, in a very quiet voice......"Come a-shootin'."

Death Wishes

Ames Jainchill: You're probably one of them knee-jerk liberals that thinks us gun boys would shoot our guns because it's an extension of our penises.
Paul Kersey: Never thought about it that way. It could be true.
Ames Jainchill: Well, maybe it is. But this is gun country.

Paul Kersey: Nothing to do but cut and run, huh? What else? What about the old American social custom of self-defense? If the police don't defense us, maybe we ought to do it ourselves.
Jack Toby: We're not pioneers anymore, Dad.
Paul Kersey: What are we, Jack?
Jack Toby: What do you mean?
Paul Kersey: I mean, if we're not pioneers, what have we become? What do you call people who, when they're faced with a condition or fear, do nothing about it, they just run and hide?
Jack Toby: Civilized?
Paul Kersey: No.

And a couple that remind me of California and D.C.

Paul Kersey: Do you always violate peoples Constitutional Rights?
Richard S. Shriker: Well this is MY jail, Kersey, and I'M the LAW. That means I GET to violate your Constitutional Rights!
[punches Kersey in the face]

Inspector Lt. Mankiewicz: Let me get this straight... you and your wife were attacked by four muggers and then all of a sudden this guy comes out from nowhere and begins shooting, killing these two here... and you don't know what he looks like?
Tourist: He saved our lives dammit! Where were you, giving out parking tickets?
Inspector Lt. Mankiewicz: I want a description of that guy looked like!
Tourist: He was a very good citizen!
Inspector Lt. Mankiewicz: I don't care! He was a killer!
