never thought i would see the day....

I have been a Glock guy for about 3 years. I used to hate M&P pistols, never shot one I liked. But then this last weekend I was at the range with someone who was looking at various pistols and they rented some stuff, including an M&P 9mm subcompact. OMG.....I don't know what has changed these days but WOW. From shot #1 my shots went exactly where I put them, and what blew me away was the trigger. I had always known previous M&P's to have crappy, gritty feeling triggers, but apparently that is no more. But also what was noticeable was the lesser amount of recoil in this gun compared to my Glock using the same ammo.
So I knew at that point I was going to buy one of these guns, and I picked the subcompact because that's what we rented, and also whatever I buy has to be a carry gun, I don't like carrying big guns.
So here it is.....can't wait to fire it!

Good get, sir.

I sell more M&P9cs than any other handgun. Among compacts, it is my second favorite (behind the Ruger SR9c).

You can buy 17-round mags and grip adapters for it, so the compact can also be your home defense weapon or duty weapon.

Is someone able to answer a question for me? Is it safe to use +P in this gun? The manual doesn't say.....unless i missed it. I carry +P in my Glock and would like to know if its ok with this M&P as well.
Converted?? Not sure just yet. Time will tell.

Yes, it will handle +P ammo

The manual says not to use +P+ ammo as there is no SAAMI standard maximum for such an ammo. But if you really feel the need to use it as carry ammo, it will handle it; just don't make +P+ a steady diet.

The top shooter in our IPSC-style club uses an M&P.
