Goex

I am trying to find someone that distributes black powder (Goex or Swiss) in the Portland OR area. Anyone know of a distributor? I really do not want the substitutes stuff.

If you got some patience you can make it, do you have willow nearby?
I have had fairly good results with homemade powder in a cap & ball revolver. Depending on what you are using it for you don't always need to granulate it. You can check out my thread, Homemade Black Powder For Cap&Ball? There are some good links in some replies for that

Check out The Gun Works, they should be able to fix you up.

My google-fu is pretty strong. Make sure you call first and confirm it is in stock and price per pound.

This place is 47 min from Portland:

https://muzzleloadingandmore.com/
5434 River Rd N #187, Keizer, OR 97303 | 503-390-5128

This place is 2 hours south of Portland and states they carry Goex on their website:

Bass Pro. They keep in in the back. Ask someone in the gun section.

I've never seen a Bass Pro Shop in Oregon. The only one I know of is up in Tacoma Washington.

How much do you want?
Powder Inc will deliver 5 lbs or more to your doorstep. Not cheap, but 25 lbs would be reasonable... per pound.

When I can afford real black I get Swiss from https://powderinc.com but most of the time I use Pyrodex.

Call Bass Pro before taking that drive. BP's HQ store is in Springfield, MO and they rarely have it in stock + at $30 a pond, they are expensive.

Muzzleloading and More in Keizer is probably the closest bet. Before the business was sold and moved to Keizer it was in Corbett and the only place I could find it locally. Now I usually pick up a few pounds from them each year at one of the Rondys they go to.
