National Assoc. for Gun Rights
I just received a message "Congressman Paul Broun, has prepared an urgent videomessage regarding the United Nations Small Arms Treaty".
This is sponsored by the National Association for Gun Rights. Is this a lagitimate origanization? I've never really heard of them. I don't want to sign up for something that will be turned against me. Anyone have any additional information? I can't get a link to copy over so Google it if you want to see "Urgent video UN and Hillary don't want you to see". dean

Broun is something of a fearmonger when it comes to this stuff. Even after the HR 45 rumors had been debunked, he was shouting about it from the rooftops. He's somewhat new to the party in Georgia, and it seems like he's trying a little to hard to prove himself as some sort of firebrand.
He should be choosing better bedfellows, though. The NAGR and its founder have a...history. A few threads worth reviewing on the matter: http://thefiringline.com/forums/show...highlight=nagr http://thefiringline.com/forums/show...highlight=nagr http://thefiringline.com/forums/show...highlight=nagr

They have a reputation for scaremongering, and their marketing tactic seems to be "join us because the NRA sucks", but I don't think that they're outright criminal or fraudulent.

The first page of this forum has at least 4 closed threads on the treaty. Now 5.
