Winchester Super X2 / SX3 trigger reset spring (disconnector spring)

Older used SX2, trigger failed to reset after a shot in the field. I had the trigger group out for cleaning recently but didn't disassemble it, and a test squeeze of the trigger reset properly before the hunt.

After the failure I took the trigger group back out to toubleshoot the problem and found the small spring they call the disconnector spring (the one that resets the trigger) disconnected. I sqeezed the crimped end a little to try to tighten it, and reattached it. Gun seems to function fine now.

My concern is that a shot with a magnum shotshell dislodged the spring once; I wonder if it was a fluke or if it will happen again at the worst time.
