Bought this on a whim. Can anyone tell me about it?
It is a Euroarms Sheriff .36 caliber. Obviously an 1851 navy with shorter barrel.
http://www.simpsonltd.com/product_in...db49f6cd37db2d Can anyone tell me about it, proper load? Going to pick it up on monday, pretty excited. |

20 gr fffg in your choice of real BP, lubed wad & .375 roundball, with #10 Remington cap to set it off.
Good price. XX date code makes it a 1964 date of manufacture. While well used, it appears to be in excellent shape. Congrats!!!

Nice looking firearm. I've purchased thru Simpsons-- as an Illinois
operation having to pick the blackpowder revolver up thru an FFL transfer is a bummer (+$$'s). Good luck with your new revolver. .02 David ps-- Wooooooops, just noticed you are going to pick it up. Well, the BP I'm looking at with them I can't pick up. Therefore the ^^^. |

I've looked at some of their BP stuff, but I won't order from them due to the fact that they ship ALL firearms including BP to FFL dealers thus increasing the cost. That and they charge 35.00 MINIMUM for pistol shipping and 20.00 for long guns, then you add the FFL transfer fee.

Luckily I am in the area and can go pick it up. At that price I figured it was a great way to get into BP revolvers.
