New to me S&W
I picked this model 10-9 up the other day. I tend to gravitate towards unusual guns and while Model 10's are not rare by any means, this one is unusual because it is marked as being one of the Smiths once owned by the Royal Hong Kong Police. It is also the nicest one of these RHKP revolvers I have ever seen and I am glad it stumbled into my hands.
Finish is near 100%. It's been shot, but not very much as the only flaw in the finish is a minor turn line. According to information I received, the number stamped on the grip strap is the ID number of the officer it was issued to. |

That's a pretty one, and the grips have nice grain. Congrats.

I like how the RHKP stamping is so random (i.e not carefully done in a straight line!LOL).
Makes it more "Hong Kong authentic".

I have a Webly mkIV marked RHKP in 38 S&W. It is the only revolver I've ever seen with a safety.

If you changed the K to a C it would be the super rare Red Hot Chile Peppers Model 10.

Nice!
Funny how those Model 10's (and other K frames) just seem to accumulate, isnt it? |

With such little wear it may have been issued to a Lieutenant or a detective who didn't actually use it and it set in a locker.
