Memorial flag for Fallen Officers
Recently a CHP officer was killed in a senseless murder. I saw many black and white memorial flags with badges on them and the words "officer down in the line of duty" on them, after his memorial. I thought they were a great tribute to police officers who sacrificed their life for their community. I bought one of these flags on officersdown.com and display it to show my gratitude and respect for these heroes.

Truly worthy cause. Everyone needs to do what they can.

Interesting all the different little memorials that come out of some back closet when tragedy strikes... I'd been a fireman for 4 years before I found we had Class A uniforms to wear for memorials as well as a dept memorial flag - took the death of a couple fellow firefirghters in a neighboring town to do it. Hope not to see the items ever again.
